Data on a map. Safely.

Records stuck in a spreadsheet turned into an explorable map, with every location rounded to its region so nothing sensitive is exposed.

The problem

Valuable records sat in a spreadsheet where nobody could see the patterns. A map was the obvious answer, but the exact locations were too sensitive to publish.

What we did

  1. 01

    Built the data platform

The records moved out of the spreadsheet into a platform built to serve a map.

  2. 02

    Designed for privacy

Every location is rounded to its region before it reaches the map, so exact addresses never leave the data.

  3. 03

    Made it explorable

Clusters, heatmaps and pages turn the records into something people can browse.

What changed

The records are now an explorable map of clusters, heatmaps and pages. Patterns are visible; exact addresses never are.
